[ Which is precisely why Emma doesn't actually respond to any other texts Alex might send until she's knocking at his door in a white short sleeved dress with a blue belt around her waist. ]

[She's beautiful. But that isn't a surprise. Alex is wearing a pair of tight dark-wash jeans, a white v-neck, and a leather jacket.]

Ordered the pizza a few minutes ago--it should be here in 30.

[He ushers her into his apartment; it looks nice, actually. Very 60s/70s. Marlon Brando, James Dean on the walls. It's clean--he's tried to impress.]

[ Emma's eyes drift down Alex, taking in his outfit and being honestly pretty impressed with what she sees right down to the leather jacket that makes her smile when paired with that v-neck. ]

Thankfully I can wait thirty minutes. [ She allows him to usher her in and while she looks around his apartment— and is honestly surprised it's clean from the way her eyebrows shoot up a little she speaks. ] I see you're wearing my color. A woman might think you're trying to make her feel special with actions like that.

[He rolls his eyes at her first comment, because really, Emma. It's a date. He glances down at his shirt, and lets out a little laugh.]

Yeah, well aren't you a woman who likes to be special?

[Though in all honesty most of his shirts are white.]

So, did you bring red or white wine?

[He moves over to the kitchen, pulling out the proper glasses. Yes, he did research. But he had the glasses--he just never paid attention to which one was for which wine before.]
